Day 1 | Arrive in Barcelona
Welcome to Barcelona Spain. Guests are met at Barcelona International Airport and immediately taken to arranged accommodations for check in. Hit the ground running with an afternoon of activities that include a walking tour of the immediate area, to include food & wine samples from the Catalan culture. Rest and relax before an intimate evening of dining.
Day 2 | Tour Barcelona
After a traditional Spanish breakfast, guests are taken on a guided overview tour of Barcelona with private transportation, to include major city highlights, neighborhoods and architecture by Spain's most famous architect Antoni Gaudí. Now acquainted with Catalunya's principle city, guests will dine like discerning locals with an unforgettable meal.
Day 3 | Cava Country
Depart Barcelona with Vin Ambassador guidestaff, destination Penedes: Spain's sparkling wine capital. Explore the subterranean cellars underneath the region and become familiar with remarkable Spanish alternatives to Champagne. After checking into this first wine region, guests will explore two coastal towns, Sitges and Tarragona, the later boasting an ancient Roman Colosseum constructed a stones throw from the mediterranean sea. In the late afternoon, continue to the mountain villages, one of Spain's red wine havens, for a local dinner before turning in for the night.
Day 4 | Wine Mountains
Wake up in one of the world's most picturesque wine regions. Priorat features dramatic mountains and steeply planted vines. Tour the villages and cellars of the region tasting red wines, traditionally made of Garnacha, Spain's breed of the grape Grenache. Midday and evening dining in the region is designed to sustain and inspire travel stories in this great wine capital.
Day 5 | Wine Valleys
For every peak, lays a valley. In the Priorat Region, some villages are perched at the apex, others are literally shadowed by the mountain ridges on either side. This second day of exploration includes more private access to cellars and vineyards that have made names for themselves and brought acclaim to the region. The final dinner in Priorat features old vintages and parting hospitality, forever transforming the labels into meaningful destinations.
Day 6 | Back to Barcelona
Now acquainted with the cities and wine regions of Catalunya, guests return to Barcelona for independent exploration of the city, rest and relaxation.
Day 7 | Live Like Locals
Following nearly a week of guided travel, guests have the opportunity to continue self guided exploration of the city, schedule spa appointments or simply eat and shop.
